Project Motivation
I attended a Design Validation build for Bradley's product dispenser---the unit was built for the very first time. This is what I noticed:
Crowded table space
Hard to assemble various components due to location of bolts and springs
Long and delayed assembly time due to misplaced parts
Assembly Fixture
Design for manufacturing, Fabrication, Assembly line

In order to decrease assembly time and difficulty, I designed a rotating assembly fixture on which complex mechanisms could be built prior to their insertion in the main housing. During this process:
Designed the fixture using real parts in CAD assembly
Created engineering drawings and instruction manual
Led a design review and implemented feedback
Presented proposed design to two engineering managers
Created a comprehensive Bill of Materials
Currently the fixture:
Is completely fabricated
Is used every day on the manufacturing floor in the assembly line to build Bradley's product dispenser internal components
